HOW IT WORKS
1. Thermo Plastic Urethane Hinge - ‘Ultra Durable, Smooth and Secure’ . Inspired by the human body, the ground breaking TPU hinge assembly supports the knee’s natural range of motion. The hinge stop housing helps prevent hyperextension and provides maximum medial and lateral protection.
2. Carbon Fiber Composite Frame - ‘Light Weight, Ergonomic and Strong’. The low-profile frame conforms to you, your riding gear and your bike. The two full layers of carbon fiber enhance structural integrity and keep the total weight to only 660gms (Medium size)
3. Self Tracking Patella Guard - ‘Extra Protection’. The patella guard is connected directly to the hinge assembly which ensures the guard is always centered over your knee and transfers an impact away from the knee cap and into the brace.
4. Unprecedented Comfort - ‘Protection and Comfort’ . The combination of vented foam liners and thermo- formed padding keeps you comfortable and cool while ensuring the areas directly above and below the patella guard are covered.
5. Customize The Fit - ‘Self Adjustable’ . Take control over hinge padding, strap lengths, strap pad positions and brace locking angles. The brace comes fitted with mx Preferred 15.0 degrees hinge stops as standard. Optional 12.5, 17.5, and 20.0 degrees hinge stops are available.
6. Maximum Comfort + Airflow - ‘Be Cool and Comfortable’ The thermo-formed pressure-point padding keeps you comfortable white the removable vented foam liner keeps you cool. The brace is supplied with the two sets of hinge padding, coming in two thicknesses: 3mm and 6mm. To ensure a snug and comfortable fit the hinge padding is interchangeable, allowing you to configure them to suit.
7. Strapping - ‘Keeping The Brace In The Right Position’ The PODMX knee brace has four comfortable straps to ensure that the brace remains correctly positioned when in use. The straps are located on the brace to maintain the correct orthotic positioning of the brace whilst in use. To increase the comfort of the two straps immediately above and below the hinge, thermoformed strap comfort pads have been added. The straps are ‘oversized’ so that their overall length may be easily modified to suit individual preferences.
