1. Add your items to the shopping cart:
Whenever you’re browsing our site, there is a virtual shopping cart at your disposal to hold your purchases. When you find an item you want to purchase, from the product’s detail page click the ‘Add To Cart’ button. Every time you add something to your cart, the page will refresh and you will see the item added under the “Shopping Cart” label on the right hand side of your page.
To remove an item from your cart, click on the “edit items” button just underneath the “Shopping Cart” section and you will be taken to the shopping cart page. Once there simply change the quantity to zero and hit the “update quantities” button on the bottom of this page. That item will be “put back on the shelf”.
Once you’ve added something to your shopping cart, it remains there unless you remove it, even if you hit the ‘back’ button on your web browser.
To shop more, click the button below the itemized list of products that reads ‘Continue Shopping’ and you’ll return to the home page of our site. If at anytime you wish to view the contents of your shopping cart in detail, click on the ‘Edit Items’ button as above.

If you are done shopping and want to finish your purchase, from the shopping cart page click the yellow button on the right hand side of the page labeled ‘Checkout’.
The first step in checkout will ask you to do one of two things: Log in as a returning customer Continue checkout as a new customer

The next step will be to enter your address information.
4. Order Confirmation:
Next, you will be prompted for your shipping and credit card or payment option information.
The fourth and final step will be to review your order information and make sure everything is correct. At this point, you will have the option to change your shipping & billing addresses as well as your credit card information.

We are sorry but we are unable to honour requests for price matching over the phone. When you submit you price match request, please be sure to include the competing website's URL . Once we have this information, we can verify the online pricing, description, brand name, and availability. This process may take just a little time, and we'll contact you as soon as the information is verified.
Sydney City Motorcycles will review all Internet price match requests, but we cannot guarantee that all prices in all cases will be matched. Not all Internet vendors and websites are authorised dealers, and some do not always abide by the pricing policies of the product manufacturers. Please keep in mind that we will not match prices on refurbished, blemished, or discontinued products.

Items must be advertised, in stock, and verifiable on the Internet or in a local or national paper, magazine, or catalogue by an authorised dealer (you may be required to email or fax a copy of the competitor's offer). Advertised items must be factory-sealed new product. Demo models, factory seconds, closeout items, sale items, discontinued merchandise and floor samples not included.

In some situations an item has to be ordered or obtained specially from our distributors, and once your item has been ordered from the manufacturer or distributor, there is no stopping it until it reaches your door. Size changes and cancellations made after your order has been shipped will be subject to the appropriate exchange/restocking fee.
Cancelling a back ordered item:
In the event of a back order. This if the distributor has no stock of your order we will contact you to establish if you still wish to proceed with the order. If you agree to a back order, we will charge half of the item as a nonrefundable deposit. In the event of a back order cancellation, your half-down deposit will be retained as in-store credit.

Back orders:
Out of Stock/Back orders are handled on a 50% upon order, and 50% on completion of order basis. If you agree to a back order, we will charge half the cost of the item as a nonrefundable deposit. This deposit will be retained as in store credit in the event of a back order cancellation.
Please go ahead and order the goods via your shopping cart in the normal way. If the goods are not in stock and have to be placed on back order with one of our distributors WE WILL CONTACT YOU first and give you the option to proceed with the order. The system will automatically charge you in full when you place your order on line but when we contact you we will refund half this amount immediately until your back ordered items are shipped.
If the color and/or size you want is not listed in the ‘Options’ drop-down menu on the Product Detail page, it's not available at this time. It could be the case that a color or model pictured on our site is not actually held in stock by the distributor, or has been discontinued. To check, look for the color/size under ‘Options’, and if it is not listed, it means we are temporarily out of stock. You should check back later or contact our weborders@sydneycitymotorcycles.com.au department to determine when and if we will receive more stock.
If we are out of a particular color/size of sale item, bear in mind that often products are on sale because we are almost out of them or the season has changed, and we won't be carrying these items any more or until next year.

Protecting the safety of your credit card information is important to us. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect the security of your credit card information as it is transmitted to us. SSL is the gold standard in Internet encryption technology, which is a fancy way of saying that it's a highly sophisticated method of scrambling data as it travels from your computer to our website's servers.
Q: How secure is the encryption used by SSL? A: It would take significantly longer than the age of the universe to crack a 128-bit key.
SSL uses public-key encryption to exchange a session key between the client and server; this session key is used to encrypt the http transaction (both request and response). Each transaction uses a different session key so that even if someone did manage to decrypt a transaction, that would not mean that they would have found the server's secret key; if they wanted to decrypt another transaction, they'd need to spend as much time and effort on the second transaction as they did on the first. Of course, they would have first have to have figured out some method of intercepting the transaction data in the first place, which is in itself extremely difficult. It would be significantly easier to tap your phone, or to intercept your mail to acquire your credit card number than to somehow intercept and decode Internet Data.
Servers and browsers do encryption ranging from a 40-bit secret key to a 128-bit secret key, that is to say '2 to the 40th power' or '2 to the 128th power'. Many people have heard that 40-bit is insecure and that you need 128-bit to keep your credit card info safe. They feel that using a 40-bit key is insecure because it's vulnerable to a 'brute force' attack (basically trying each of the 2^40 possible keys until you find the one that decrypts the message). This was in fact demonstrated when a French researcher used a network of fast workstations to crack a 40-bit encrypted message in a little over a week. Of course, even this 'vulnerability' is not really applicable to applications like an online credit card transaction, since the transaction is completed in a few moments. If a network of fast computers takes a week to crack a 40-bit key, you'd be completed your transaction and long gone before the hacker even got started.
Of course, using a 128-bit key eliminates this problem because there are 2^128 instead of 2^40 possible keys. Using the same method (a networked of fast workstations) to crack a message encrypted with such a key would take significantly longer than the age of the universe using conventional technology. Remember that 128-bit is not just 'three times' as powerful as 40-bit encryption. 2^128 is 'two times two, times two, times two...' with 128 two's. That is two, doubled on itself 128 times. 2^40 is already a HUGE number, about a trillion (that's a million, million!). Therefore 2^128 is that number (a trillion), doubled over and over on itself another 88 times. Again, it would take significantly longer than the age of the universe to crack a 128-bit key.
Doing the math, you can see that using the same method that was used to break 40-bit encryption in a week, it would take about 72 million weeks (about 1.4 million years) to even break '56-bit medium' encryption and significantly longer than the age of the universe to crack a 128-bit key. Of course the argument is that computers will keep getting faster, about doubling in power every 18 months. That is true, but even when computers are a million times faster than they are now (about 20 years from now if they double in speed every year), it would then still take about 6 thousand, trillion years, which is about a million times longer than the Earth has been around. Plus, simply upgrading to 129-bit encryption would take twice as long, and 130-bit would take twice as long again. As you can see, it's far easier for the encryption to keep well ahead of the technology in this case. Simply put, 128-bit encryption is totally secure.
The bottom line is that your credit card information is secure. To make sure you are accessing our secure server before you submit personal financial information, look at the lower left or right hand corner of your browser. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser), then SSL is active. To double-check for security, look at the URL or Location line of your browser. If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the address in that line should change from 'http' to 'https.' Some browser versions and some firewalls don't permit communication through secure servers like the ones we use to process orders at Sydney City Motorcycles.
